How I Can Help
As a Certified Child Life Specialist, I empower children and adolescents to understand and cope with their own illness or that of a family member. My approach is to make difficult moments into better and meaningful memories for children and families who are facing life’s most challenging events. In-home or in-office interventions include: developmentally appropriate education, therapeutic activities, coping techniques, grief processing, legacy building, and bereavement services as well as coordinating school services when necessary and connecting families to professional organizations and community resources.

Why I Became a Professional Healthcare Advocate
When I was 16 years old, I lost a friend to Leukemia. I was very close to his dying experience. I immediately pursued a career in child life so that I could help other young people cope effectively with health-care experiences.
