How I Can Help
I have broad and deep nursing knowledge and experience. I have worked in a variety of medical settings, both inpatient and outpatient. I can provide RN Advocacy services to clients at important transition periods in life, helping to sort out complex medical situations and to identify treatment planning options. I understand the need for advocacy in the complicated healthcare arena. I am able to provide this support for my clients by being a strong voice representing their need for clear, understandable medical information, treatment options and care that is best practice, evidence based, promotes optimal level of functioning, comfort and family involvement. I am compassionate and practical. I will speak to you and for you in ways that are understandable and represent your best interests and your own preferences. I will provide you with information and coordinate your medical care by speaking with your medical, nursing and allied health providers. I am comfortable assisting you with your end of life planning including making decisions about treatments and interventions. I have special training as a Legal Nurse Consultant and can work with your attorney on any medical related legal issues including cases involving elder law, estate planning, guardianship/POA, medical negligence/malpractice, product liability or personal injury. I bring knowledge, experience and medical perspective to your medical-related legal cases. I will be an RN Advocate for you in the hospital, in your home, and in the courtroom.

Why I Became a Professional Healthcare Advocate
I have been an RN for a long time, caring for patients in the ICU, in the skilled nursing home, in assisted living memory care residence and in various mental health settings. I also work as a Legal Nurse Consultant on medical issues in legal cases. My overarching inspiration has always been my focus on individual patients and families and the impact their medical and emotional conditions have on their lives, hopes and dreams. My interactions with patients and families during pivotal, vulnerable points in their lives has been a privilege and a calling for my career decision to become an RN Advocate. I understand the complexity of the medical world and feel strongly that patients need and deserve information and choices. I feel that all of my decades of nursing experience have well prepared me to be a competent and caring voice representing my patients and families.

Addition Skills and Attributes
Members of my immediate family have dealt with serious medical, surgical and emotional issues so I understand the impact of health conditions on the individual and the family members. Elderly family members have also lived with dementia and thus I understand the family members perspective and the necessary care requirements for the individual with cognitive decline.
